Innsbruck Airport new lighting system

With the strain the aviation industry puts on the environment, Innsbruck Airport has set-up in its corporate strategy sustainable solutions for the expansion of airport infrastructures that incorporate LED lighting, and proves its dedication toward environmental protection and, becomes an international pioneer.

The new LED equipped mast system can light up a total area of 49,000 m², meets ICAO guidelines, and compared to the original conventional lighting project, it achieves more than a 70% reduction in energy consumption and CO2 emissions, while still producing the same technical light results. Moreover the LED technology considerably reduces maintenance costs, allows fast reaction times (on/off) and plenty of possibilities of lighting control, with which the light flux can be dimmed via infinitely variable control and, thus, ideally adjusted to suit the prevailing requirements.
