Solar-Powered LED Lights in the Hudson River

Light pollution is a rising concern in major cities of the USA, and dark sky tourism is a developing trend. An unusual temporary exhibition will take place in New York, giving an unusual view of the night sky. 201 LED lights will "reflect" the stars above New York City that no one can see. The solar powered LEDs will be set on wooden post in the Hudson River at Pier 49.

Visitors will be able to press buttons, while on shore, that will light a series of LEDs, reflecting the constellations above. The goal of the exhibition is to make New Yorkers aware of the problems posed by light pollution.
