Fixture Lights Using LEDs Exceed CFL Performance

The performances of LED light fixtures exceeds CFL and incandescent performances as the LEDs focus all the light in one direction versus a CFL or incandescent lamp blows light everywhere.

“LED lamps achieve equivalent performance by focusing the light directly at the reflector, as opposed to CFLs and incandescent lamps that disperse light in all directions.” explains Steve Rothschild. “Now LED lights can equal CFL brightness while using 73% less energy. Additionally, the LED will operate for 50,000 hours reducing maintenance.”

Moreover, when comparing LEDs and CFLs, an LED can generate over 90 %of the light of a CFL on a photopic basis, and is equivalent or better on a scotopic basis.
