Millennium Stadium saves 70 per cent of energy with LED lights

Recently, over 450 LED light fittings have been installed at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff, to replace the old fluorescent lighting. This action will reduce energy consumption by 70%.

The Facilities Manager Darren Crossman believed LED lights would provide the finest lighting quality which will help them to be more sustainable. It is true LED will cost much more than the old fluorescent light at the front end, but it promises lots of benefits for the future in reducing the CO2 and lowering the cost of lighting as it has a long life time of 30000 hours.

Besides, the new lights will make the stadium brighter and colorful.
