lights.
One of the first skyscrapers and the emblem of New York is
following the trend of energy efficient lighting. The building, built in 1931,
makes a big step towards the 21st century!
The Chinese Government announced this Thursday, May the 16th that it is planning to arrange 2.2 Billion Yuan for the promotion of the development of energy-saving Lamps and LED Lights.
LightFair International (LFI) opened
09.05.2012 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. It’s famous to be the world’s
largest annual commercial and architectural lighting exhibition with more than
500 exhibitors. It was preceded last Wednesday by the LFI Innovation Awards
with 230 entries which represents the latest lighting-related and designs
introduced during the last year. HomeLights is present at this lighting fair

More than 220.000 bulbs are illuminating the city Vienna in Austria.
Currently the Viennese magistrate is preparing for a street light retrofit
action. More than 5000 old fashion lights are going to be replaced by
energy-saving LED luminaries.
Old balloon lamps, which are mostly installed on the Danube
Island and he different parks will be replaced in the following weeks by much
brighter and modern LED. Those are more favorable in energy consumption, are
long living and don’t emit UV light.
The 2nd of May 2012, The Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) approved the solar lightening project. ‘Solar Street Lighting Program in City Corporation’ project, will introduce solar energy-driven LED technology covering one thousand kilometers of streets of Dhaka, Chittagong, Rajshahi, Khulna, Barisal, Sylhet and Rangpur city corporations.
The project would be implemented during January 2012 to December 2015 .

The council of the resort city Miri in Malaysia is going
green by retrofitting the lights in parks and public areas with energy saving
and eco- friendly LED lights. The
project was the result of an agreement signed by Malaysian Green Technology
Corporation and the council last February under the Low Carbon City Framework
project.
