Eco-friendly solutions for the Louvre Museum

Toshiba Corporation had announced its contribution to the lighting of one of the most visited museums in the world, through the signing of a partnership agreement with the Louvre on the project for renovation of its lighting. As part of this partnership, Toshiba will be in charge of the renovation of the lighting in some of the most visited areas of the museum.

Environmentally friendly lighting solutions

For the Louvre, one of the largest museums in the world, it's necessary to replace the lighting-intensive consumption by solutions more environmentally friendly. Toshiba may respond to this need with LED lighting solutions with low CO2 emissions. These LED at the forefront of innovation will be used to illuminate some of the most prestigious areas of the Louvre.

As part of this partnership, Toshiba will provide the LED lighting of:
• The Pyramid welcoming visitors at the museum entrance,
• In the Napoléon’s yard
• In the Carre’s yard.

The renovation and installation of the Napoleon’s yard and the Pyramid will be completed at the end of 2011 and that of the Square’s yard in the end of 2012.
